Priscilla: Romans 8:31-39
God’s Everlasting Love

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

32 Truly He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up on behalf of us all, how will He not freely give all things to us with Him?

33 Who will bring any charge against God’s elect? God is the One justifying!

34 Who is he condemning? It is Christ who has died, but rather also is raised, who also is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession on our behalf.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?

36 Even as it has been written, “For Your sake we are killed all the day; we are counted as sheep of slaughter.” Psa. 44:22

37 But in all these things we more than conquer through Him loving us.

38 For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

[Literal Translation of the Holy Bible]

Dear God, my Beloved Father, today I offer to You what I have understood through my reflection on Your Word in Romans 8:31-39 regarding Your everlasting love.

Dear God, concerning verse 31, I understand that because of my faith in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, I am no longer under condemnation but have been justified and adopted as Your child. Therefore, You stand with me and solve all my problems in a righteous way that no one can oppose, not even Satan.

Dear God, regarding verses 33 and 34, I understand that no one can bring a charge against those who are chosen by You and declared righteous. They are Your chosen ones for Your glory, and I believe that as long as I live a genuine life obeying Your commands or, if I ever sin, I repent immediately and confess to You, Satan cannot accuse me, nor can anyone condemn me before You. However, if someone intentionally continues to commit the same sin, they will become a slave of Satan and be tempted to commit more sins.

Dear God, from verses 37 to 39, I understand that nothing can separate Your people from Your love. They are chosen and declared righteous in Jesus Christ, protected by You. In all sufferings according to Your will, Your people always conquer because of Jesus Christ interceding for them and the Holy Spirit empowering them to overcome every difficulty. Your everlasting love cares for, protects, and defends them.

“Thank you, Heavenly Father, for the eternal love You have bestowed upon me. Please grant me the power to live victoriously in all things and to remain in your love. May all glory, power, and honor belong to the Triune God forever. Amen!”

In the grace of Jesus Christ, my Lord.
