He was called to be the apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ to proclaim the Gospel to the world.

Dear God, I understand verse 2 as follows: Apostle Paul wrote a letter to the people of God in the Church at Corinth. God the Father has given the Church every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, including the peace of salvation by grace. The Lord Jesus Christ has given the Church the grace to be one with Him, so that they may live victorious and peaceful lives in all circumstances.

Dear God, I understand verses 4-6 as follows: Apostle Paul always remembers and gives thanks to God for the Church in Corinth.
