As for me, who was born in Vietnam and has accepted the Gospel of Salvation through Christ, I must love and pray for the Vietnamese people who have not yet received Christ as their Savior; many of them are lost and do not believe in Your Gospel.

Dear God, I understand verse 2 to mean that the Apostle Paul talked about the zeal of the Israelites for You, which was based on their traditional religious practices, not on true worship of You. They only worshipped You with their lips, not with their hearts, and did not obey Your commandments. When they did not believe in the message of the Lord Jesus Christ, they became disobedient and rebellious.

Dear God, from verse 3 to verse 7, I understand the righteousness of God to mean that Your justice demands that sin must be punished, and the punishment for sin is death. But because of Your love for humanity, You have given us grace to save us from the punishment of sin through the death of the Lord Jesus Christ, who bore our sins on the cross. This is the righteousness that You have provided for us. We only need to believe in the Gospel of Salvation, ask for forgiveness, and then we will be righteous in Your eyes. Jesus is God who became human to save us, and we do not need to go anywhere to find Him, but only to believe in His redemptive death.

Dear God, I understand verses 8 and 9 as follows: The righteousness that comes from faith is that whoever seeks You with a repentant heart, believes that the Lord Jesus Christ is God who became human, died for their sins and rose again from the dead. This righteousness is also when a person fully believes in the teachings of the Bible, obediently following them without questioning why.

Dear God, I understand from verses 10 to 13 as follows: Faith means that when a person hears the Gospel message about salvation and sincerely believes in their heart to be saved, to be cleansed of sin, and to be declared righteous. But believing in the heart alone is not enough, one must confess their faith like the thief who was nailed to the cross beside the Lord Jesus. Those who believe in God must confess to God that they are sinners, asking for forgiveness for all the sins they have committed with sincere repentance. The Word of God in the Bible teaches that faith must be demonstrated through actions, by confessing what we believe and living according to our beliefs.

Thank You very much, Father!
