Romans 4:1-12
\nAbraham Justified by Faith<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Today, March 15th, 2023, let us, together in the grace of God, rejoice and reflect on the Word of God in Romans 4:1-12.<\/span><\/p>\n

1 What then shall we say our father Abraham to have found according to flesh?<\/span> <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has a boast, but not with God. <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

3 For what does the Scripture say? “And Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness.” Gen. 15:6 <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

4 Now to one working, the reward is not counted according to grace, but according to debt. <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

5 But to the one not working, but believing on Him justifying the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

6 Even as also David says of the blessedness of the man to whom God counts righteousness apart from works: <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

7 “Blessed are those whose lawlessnesses are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

8 blessed the man to whom the Lord will in no way charge sin.” LXX-Psa. 31:1, 2; MT-Psa. 32:1, 2 <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

9 Is this blessedness then on the circumcision, or also on the uncircumcision? For we say the faith “was counted to Abraham for righteousness.” Gen. 15:6 <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

10 How then was it counted? Being in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision! <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

11 And he received a sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness of faith while in uncircumcision, for him to be a father of those believing through uncircumcision, for righteousness to be counted to them also, <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

12 and a father of circumcision to those not of circumcision only, but also to those walking in the steps of the faith of our father Abraham during uncircumcision. <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

5. Who are the “uncircumcised believers”? What is their connection to Abraham?<\/span><\/p>\n

6. In today’s world, what is the evidence of the faith of God’s people?<\/span><\/p>\n
