Priscilla: Romans 5:1-11
Peace with God Through Faith

1 Then being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

2 through whom also we have had access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we glory on the hope of the glory of God.

3 And not only so, but we glory also in afflictions, knowing that affliction works out patience,

4 and patience works out proven character; and proven character, hope.

5 And the hope does not put us to shame, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit given to us;

6 for we yet being without strength, in due time Christ died for ungodly ones.

7 For with difficulty one will die for a just one, (for perhaps one even dares to die for the sake of the good one),

8 but God commends His love to us in this, that we being yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9 Much more then, being justified now by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath through Him.

10 For if while being enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life;

11 and not only so, but also glorying in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we now received the reconciliation.

[Literal Translation of the Holy Bible]

Dear God, my beloved Father, today I offer to You what I have come to understand through my meditation on Your Word in Romans 5:1-11 about the meaning of humanity’s reconciliation with You through faith.

Dear God, before I accepted You, I was a sinner who lived in disobedience to Your commandments. But after I sincerely repented of my sins and accepted the gift of salvation through the death of Christ, who shed His blood on the cross to redeem us humans, including me, I was declared righteous and saved from the punishment of Your wrath. I understand that after Jesus saved me from my former life of sin, He gave me His own life so that I could live a new life of love, holiness, and righteousness, just like God. That is being created a new creature in Christ.

Dear God, I understand that I am reconciled with You through my faith in Christ, and that I am saved from punishment and have become Your child. Being reconciled with You means being reunited and justified by You, for all my sins have been forgiven, and nothing can separate me from You anymore. However, I know that while I live in this earthly body, I may still commit unintentional mistakes. But when I approach Your throne of grace, confess my sins, and repent, You are faithful and righteous to forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Therefore, I receive peace and freedom from the fear of You. I also know that Jesus Christ is seated at Your right hand, interceding for me always.

The Word of God teaches me: “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment; and the one fearing has not been perfected in love.” (I John 4:18)

Dear God, I understand that I am being tested and glorified in times of distress by proclaiming the true Gospel of the Bible for Your name’s sake, enduring persecution, arrest, insult, and ridicule. I also understand that I suffer pain and shame caused by the world when I live according to Your Word, but I endure it without anger or shame. I keep my faith in You, living faithfully, and enduring suffering with hope until the end, when Christ comes. I know that the trials, injustices, and challenges that come in my life are allowed by You to refine me, to train me to endure patiently, and to help me develop the character of compassion, patience, and reflect the glory of God.

Dear God, I believe and rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. I look forward to the day when the Lord Jesus Christ comes for the Church, and I am transformed and lifted up into the air to meet Christ and my brothers and sisters in the Church, to be clothed with an immortal and glorious body, reflecting the glory of God.

I thank You. Amen!

In the grace of Jesus Christ, my Lord.
