Priscilla: Romans 3:21-26
God’s Grace and Righteousness

21 But now a righteousness of God has been revealed apart from Law, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,

22 even the righteousness of God through faith of Jesus Christ toward all and upon all those believing; for there is no difference,

23 for all sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption in Christ Jesus,

25 whom God set forth as a propitiation through faith in His blood, as a demonstration of His righteousness through the passing over of the sins that had taken place before, in the forbearance of God,

26 for a demonstration of His righteousness in the present time, for His being just and justifying the one that is of the faith of Jesus.

[Literal Translation of the Holy Bible]

Dear God, my beloved Father, today I offer to You what I have understood through reflecting on Your Word in Romans 3:9-20 about Your grace and righteousness.

Dear God, I understand that Your righteousness has been revealed apart from the law. This is because “all have sinned,” and therefore those who have sinned must bear the punishment required by Your law. The wages of sin is death. But because You love the world, You have granted grace for the redemption of humanity so that they may escape condemnation under Your law. Therefore, Jesus was sent into the world, was crucified on the cross, and bore the penalty for the transgression of humanity. This is the righteousness of God that has been revealed apart from the law.

Dear God, I understand that the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, is made available to all those who sincerely repent of their sins and believe in the salvation of God. As a result, humanity receives forgiveness of sins and is reconciled with God. This grace and righteousness are revealed outside of the law.

Dear God, I understand that You have appointed Christ as the atoning sacrifice for humans. We are forgiven through faith in the blood of Christ. This means that we believe that the blood shed by Christ on the cross was offered as a sacrifice for the sins of all humanity. The sins of humanity were punished righteously on Christ once and for all. Therefore, anyone who has faith in the blood of Christ is completely forgiven of all sins, past and future. They are no longer judged or counted as sinners because they have received the forgiveness of God through the redeeming death of Christ. The blood of Christ has cleansed them of all sins. They are declared righteous by God. The prophecy in Isaiah 53:10 says: “But Jehovah pleased to crush Him, to make Him sick so that if He should put His soul as a guilt offering, He shall see His seed; He shall prolong His days; and the will of Jehovah shall prosper in His hand.”

Thank You, God, my Beloved Father, for patiently enduring the sins of humanity and carrying out their redemption in a just way because of Your love for humanity. I am grateful for the grace that You have bestowed upon my life. Amen!

In the grace of Jesus Christ, my Lord.
